Thank you for your interest in booking a field trip to the Michigan Science Center!

Please provide as much detail as possible to assist us in scheduling your visit.

Notes: This form does not guarantee your group reservation. You will receive an email from our reservations team with more information and to confirm the details of your visit. Your initial order is tentative until the deposit is received, and numbers and activities are flexible up until your balance payment.

As a reminder, this is a self-led experience and we encourage groups to explore the exhibit galleries independently. Children must remain with chaperones at all times. 

Live science demonstrations and shows are included in admission on a first come first served basis. Theater shows are available for reservation for an additional fee.

Mi-Sci memberships, ticket vouchers, and free day admission are not valid on group reservations.

The Michigan Science Center is open to the public Tuesday-Sunday 10:00am-4:00pm.

Chaperone Policy

Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Special Needs groups require one chaperone per every five students.

Grades 1-12 require one chaperone per every ten students.

If the chaperone ratio is not met on the day of your visit, a fee of $20 per missing chaperone will be added to your final balance. Each of the required chaperones receives free admission. Theater programs and additional chaperones are charged at the group rate of $3 per person for theaters, $11 per person for additional chaperones.

Deposit and Refund Policy

Please note that a $50 deposit is required to hold your date. In the event of a cancelation, this fee is non-refundable. There is a $25 additional charge associated with re-booking your visit after your balance has been paid. Final payment and headcount are due 3 weeks in advance of your visit. We do not process refunds or hold funds on account if your student count falls short of your initial headcount. Additional guests will be charged the group rate when entering with your party. All others are subject to standard admission fees.


After receiving a deposit for the visit, we will be then able to include any additional events to the order such as add-on theater experiences, lunch times, or workshops as capacity allows.
